Originally a 17th century farmhouse and now a contemporary hotel that retains much of its original charm, Old Thorns Manor Hotel offers an idyllic setting for any occasion.
Situated in a 400 acre country estate, the property enjoys a wonderful location overlooking its own 18-hole championship golf course. The past two years have seen a number of notable changes to the Old Thorns estate. A substantial investment programme commenced in April 2007 to ensure that Old Thorns becomes one of Southern England’s premier resorts and careful consideration has been given at all stages of planning to ensure that the development of the existing and new buildings is sympathetic to the surrounding countryside. Phase one of the developments is due for completion in Autumn 2009 and will include the opening of a new accommodation wing which will see the number of bedrooms increase from 33 to 82 and a brand new Kings Carvery Brasserie which will seat 300 people.
Further development plans also include an Italian style restaurant, improved golf Pro Shop and Spikes Bar for golfers, a new Caddy Master Building and Atrium Bar, additional leisure facilities incorporating a fitness studio, a brand new reception area and improved conference & banqueting facilities for weddings and corporate functions which will enable us to accommodate the needs of both corporate and large groups whatever the occasion.
